Description
Simone's is hosting a monthly literary event put on by the group from Windy City Story Slam. With such names as:
Irvine Welsh (Author of Trainspotting)
John Schultz (Author of No One Was Killed and Chicago Conspiracy Trial)
Lisa Schlesinger (A monolog of her play, Wall-martyrs will be read)
Aaron Hughes (Author and the Organizer of Warrior Writers an organization
dedicated to the stories of war veterans.)
Several members of Warrior Writers will tell stories of their experiences
in battle.
There will also be a Slam competition which will feature emerging Chicago
Authors, Justin Dickman, Nick Kawahara, and two others not yet picked, the
crowd will determine the winner by level of cheer.
